LINDSAY NOHL :  OWNER / LEAD DESIGNER

Lindsay is a free-range, hand fed, bird of many colors.

She was raised in Mequon, Wisconsin and moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota to earn her Illustration degree from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design.

After Graduating, Lindsay worked as a Designer for both the Seasonal and Kids teams at Target Corporate Headquarters and then as the Art Director for the Paper Prince Brand of Stationery & Gift Products at D.G. Inventive. In addition to her full-time experience, Lindsay has contributed on a freelance basis to several dozen manufacturers and retailers including Walmart, Kohl's, JC Penney, Office Max, Office Depot, Department 56. She is the founder and visionary behind Paper Bicycle LLC's creative studio and eats, breathes and (infrequently) sleeps her work.

In addition to her contributions to Paper Bicycle LLC, Lindsay is in her 6th year of teaching for the Design Department at MCAD. There she instructs several Product & Surface Design courses as well as a course in traditional illustration techniques and mediums.

Lindsay will soon be marrying her 7-year-sweetheart, Chris Hajny, and lives with her many cuddly pets in South-East Minneapolis. In her freetime she loves to drink tea, have heart-to-heart conversations with her friends, and read non-fiction books.

 

 

FRANCESCA BUCHKO  :  DESIGNER / INNOVATOR

Francesca is a fine-tuned, well oiled, art machine.

Francesca was raised in Ironwood, Michigan in a loving family as the eldest of 6 awesome siblings and two caring parents. She moved to Minneapolis to earn an Illustration degree from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design.

After Graduating, Francesca began regularly working with Paper Bicycle LLC on projects for some of our most important clients. Her work has been featured in retailers like Kohl's Department Stores, JC Penney, and Target. Additionally, Francesca is a regular contributor to the collectible lines for the Bradford Group. Francesca is extremely versatile in creating and mastering different artistic looks and trends.  She continues to amaze us with her inexhaustible ambition and we are so happy she works with us!

Francesca will soon be launching her first collection of Artwork for License (which we are so excited about!) and will also be taking on a bigger role within Paper Bicycle LLC's creative department! 

Besides working, Francesca maintains several art blogs featuring her personal work, loves spending time with her close friends, and savors trips to the grocery store. She lives in Uptown Minneapolis with her cute cat, Edna. 

 

CHRIS HAJNY :  FANTASTIC FREELANCER

Chris Hajny is our favorite part-time freelancer.

Chris was born and raised in Stoughton, Wisconsin and moved to Minneapolis to get his degree in Illustration from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design.

Chris has been working as a product design freelancer and illustrator for the past 5 years. His clients include Department 56, the History Channel, and Target Corporation. He has also had over 200 pieces of licensed product under the brand DRAWLGRAPHIC. He has also been featured in 3x3 magazine, Computer Arts Magazine, Le Toile Magazine, the City Pages, and MNArtists.org's access+ENGAGE.

His work transcends space and time and we are proud to work with him on some of our most prestigious projects!

In addition to his contributions to the commercial art world - Chris participates in a variety of Local art shows, wears sweet kicks, and makes all 13 year olds jealous of his massive video game collection.
